Welcome to Season 2! Chris and Mike mark the launch of the new season by celebrating their hometown of Christchurch and the extraordinary array of day trip and side trip possibilities across Canterbury and the West Coast, that make Christchurch such a fantastic base camp for wider exploration. We start with a look through the post-quake city centre and the best ways to strike out on your urban safari. We highlight pocket precincts, stirring street art and the hidden gems waiting to be discovered within the city centre. www.christchurchnz.com

Backing the south-east of Christchurch like a natural buffer, the Port Hills are ripe for exploration and open-air exercise. Chris talks about the Bridle Path and its amazing history, Mike heads to Godley Head with Crater Rim Walks and we showcase the trails and ziplines waiting for you at Christchurch Adventure Park.

Culinary delights of Christchurch. The post-quake rebuild of the city centre has dramatically redefined the culinary platter of the city. We start at the temple of temptation, the Riverside Market, before highlighting some of Christchurch’s food scene stars, from Amazonita, Fat Eddie’s and Botanic on The Terrace to Mumbaiwala, Café Valentino and Diner 66.
